Methodology
1. Employment & Demographics
GOV Jobs and Skills Australia / ABS Labour Force data. 358 ANZSCO occupations with employment counts, median pay, education level, 5-year outlook. Coverage: 100% of classified workforce.
2. Official AI Exposure
GOV JSA Generative AI Capacity Study (2024). Automation and augmentation scores (0–1 scale) for 357/358 occupations, measuring task-level exposure to generative AI.
3. Job Market Signal
SEEK SEEK.com.au listing data for top 99 occupations by employment (72% of workforce). AI mention rate = listings containing AI/ML/machine learning keywords as % of total.
4. Composite Exposure Rating
AI Three leading AI models (Gemini 3.1 Pro, GPT 5.4 xhigh, Claude Opus 4.6 max) independently rated each occupation 1–10 for overall AI exposure, based on the JSA government scores above, task composition, industry context, and adoption trajectory. Scores were cross-validated across models. Includes written rationale per occupation.
What this is not: Not a prediction of job losses. Not financial advice. Exposure measures potential impact, not whether adoption has occurred or how it will reshape work. Government data has a 6–12 month lag. SEEK data covers online-advertised roles only.
Why we built this
Australia's workforce is entering the age of AI. Every business, every worker, every policy maker needs to understand which jobs are most exposed — and how.
We built this because existing AI job impact data is either US-centric, locked behind paywalls, or purely theoretical. This tool uses real Australian data: government employment figures, official AI exposure scores from Jobs and Skills Australia, and live SEEK hiring signals.
The goal isn't to predict doom — it's to help Australians prepare. Whether you're planning a career change, hiring for the future, or advising clients on workforce strategy, start here.
